Editorial standards: how this desk verifies and scores

A site reporting on a fined and closed bookmaker had better hold itself to a standard it can print. This is ours.
The weighting we score against
Every casino considered for our board is assessed against four factors, in fixed proportions:
- Primary regulatory documents — 45%. Licence registers, published enforcement notices and official operator filings outrank everything else on this desk. A claim that cannot be traced to a primary document is treated as unverified and either flagged or left out.
- Dated player evidence — 30%. Complaint threads and review-platform histories, read for patterns over time rather than single anecdotes. A cluster of withdrawal complaints in the same quarter tells us more than one furious post ever could.
- Offer verification — 15%. We read bonus terms ourselves — playthrough multiples, stake ceilings, expiry clocks, winnings caps — and restate them in plain English next to every offer. If the small print contradicts the banner, the small print wins and we say so.
- Freshness — 10%. Time-sensitive facts carry the date we last confirmed them, in the form "Checked: 2 July 2026". Anything we can no longer re-verify is re-checked or removed rather than left to rot.
What removes a casino from the board
Loss of licence, a pattern of confiscated winnings that goes unanswered, terms rewritten retroactively against players, or verification demands used as a stalling tactic on withdrawals. FafaBet's own record — penalised precisely for bonus terms that let it void winnings at its discretion — is the cautionary template we score against.
How money is kept away from rankings
Scores are settled before any commercial conversation happens, and they are not revisited when one does. An affiliate fee changes whether we earn from a click; it cannot change the click's position on the page. Operators cannot preview copy, request edits or purchase placement, and pages carrying our closure reporting stay free of tracked links entirely.
Corrections
Errors are fixed as soon as they are confirmed, and corrections that change the substance of a page are acknowledged on that page. Requests go to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} with whatever evidence you have — a screenshot with a visible date is worth ten adjectives.
The limits of all this
We are a small desk covering a moving industry. Offers change mid-week, licences change hands, and an operator that scored well in July can deteriorate by October. Treat every figure here as accurate on its stamped date, no further — the only binding version of any offer is the one the operator itself currently publishes.
